I know everyone has heard stories about people who panhandle for a living. This woman was genuinely in trouble. It broke my heart. It sounds like you have a great, caring family!!

But I can tell you that for years my sister and her husband would take homeless people into their homes. Clean them, clothe them, bathe them. Some went on their way and would come back from time to time. Some went on their way and were never seen again. One stayed till she died. She was a Holocaust victim and spoke very little English. Some my sister and brother and law helped get them back on their feet and/or to their families. Many a time we were in the kitchen cooking something up. They loved my mom’s biscuits with butter and jelly with some coffee or hot chocolate. I never saw them as anything but another human being that gave me the opportunity to help them. My Grandmother, and my great grandmother were the same way. Always feeding and helping someone….I always remember when I see someone in need>>>There but by the grace of God go I….Sorry for the lg reply. You brought back memories of things my momma taught me.
