I am the 1st Candidate to file as a Democrat for US Senate in 2016. Why is it I must declare when they (media) say so and they continue to put Alan Grayson on a platform to run for the seat. This is the time we all must collectively continue to make change here in the great state of Florida. I don’t need to make a statement when I am a 4th generation Black American. I have 4 BLACK sons who have been well educated, 1 served in the military, 1 a medical doctor, 2 college seniors in Texas. Each and everyone of them continue to experience racism in America regardless of the education they have. 1 grandson whose mother is Italian and his dad of course black. The point the same system my ancestors have experienced and fought for is in play today. Florida’s system stinks and is unfair, today they (DNP) needs to know we will stand together, ANYONE that chooses to run for a public office should be treated fairly. The people should be allowed to make the decision of who they feel will best represent them. Not the party. GOOD OLE BOYS (gals) HAVE NO PLACE IN GOVERNMENT anymore, You continue to be the voice that represents the African Americans & Black Americans. So people will know the difference Black Americans were slaves in America. Lateresa A. Jones
